This policy explains how Config Services Ltd ("we", "us") handles personal information when you visit configuration.co.uk or get in touch with us. We are the data controller for this information.

Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you use our contact form, email or phone us, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, company and the content of your message.
- Analytics information. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site, such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type. We do not use advertising cookies.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider may record basic technical information such as IP addresses to keep the site secure and working.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and provide the services you ask for (to take steps before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interests in responding).
- To deliver and manage services under a contract with you or your organisation.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it (your consent, for analytics cookies).
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run our business, who process information on our behalf:
- Zoho for our contact form and business email.
- Google for website analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Cloudflare for hosting and security of this website.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations are in place.
Cookies
We only set optional analytics cookies (Google Analytics) if you choose Accept analytics in the cookie banner. If you reject them, or make no choice, they are not set. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again. You can change it at any time using Cookie settings in the footer, or by clearing your browser's site data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to deal with them and any follow-up, and customer records for as long as required for the contract and our legal obligations, normally up to 7 years after it ends. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email team@configuration.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
